Project at a Glance. The farm used an odor collection and treatment train consisting of recirculating sodium hypochlorite scrubbing followed by a recirculating odor-control wall. The application covered ground-level barns, multi-story barns and an exhaust scrubber serving the animal by-product handling area.
Treatment Approach. The existing equipment was retained because its basic design and operation were considered suitable. The treatment program was adjusted by introducing a livestock-specific odor-control formulation into the relevant recirculating treatment stage.
